Current Topic - Tribe

Who lived in the Iron Age? What kind of people were they? We will be exploring these questions and much more in this special project about the Iron Age Celts of Wales. We will be learning about:

- Who the Celts were and when they lived.

- How they lived.

- Celtic customs, beliefs and traditions.

- What happened to the Celts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Learning from Home

Learning from home is more important than ever at the moment. Even though we can't go into school as normal, online learning is taking place through Seesaw. It is very important that you encourage your child to continue with their learning journey. Daily activities will be provided for your child to complete and upload. Every day we will be uploading a Literacy, Maths and Topic activity to Seesaw. Your child needs to try to complete all of the activities each day. In addition to this your child can also develop a wide range of Literacy and Maths skills through a selection of excellent apps available such as Topmarks and Daily 10.

 

Reading

Whilst children are learning from home, please encourage them to read regularly, including a range of Fiction and Non-Fiction books. Your child will also have access to online reading books through our exciting new Giglets programme. In addition to this, we will also be uploading a chapter of our class book to Seesaw every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

 

 

Spelling

Your child will be set weekly spellings via Seesaw. Please can you encourage your child to practice these daily prior to their Friday test.

 

PE

There will be a daily link to a physical activity uploaded on Seesaw for your child to participate in. Please encourage them to keep up with their fitness, either by following these daily activities, by going out for a daily walk or by going out on a bike etc... This is important as it will also help to support your child's well-being.
